Our Animal Clinic Policies

Company Policy

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delays are inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.

For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date.

Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we require that pets be restrained by leash or contained in a carrier. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room.

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Care Credit, American Express, cash and personal checks.

Patient Arrival Policy

For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms.

All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.

For surgical appointments, patients may arrive starting at 7:30 in the morning. Please note that owners will be required to review and sign surgical consent forms before their pets are admitted.

Missed Appointment Policy

We require a request to cancel or reschedule an appointment to be made at least one business day in advance. This can be done by calling our office and speaking with our reception staff, or sending an email.

Failure to cancel or reschedule an appointment within the allotted time, or arriving ten minutes or more late for an appointment, constitutes missing an appointment. A “Missed Appointment” fee may be charged for the first and second offenses within a twelve-month period. Fees must be paid in full before another appointment can be scheduled for any pet within the same household.

Three or more missed appointments within a twelve-month period may result in additional fees or other actions, up to and including dismissal from the practice.
